If you own a 375 Winchester you probably know that it's difficult to get the ammo and the projectiles.
I have a 375 Winchester Lever top ejection so first version.

I was reloading with 200gn FN using 375 Winchester Brass using H4198.

I plan to cast my own bullets (See Reloading for a question I have on that :)).

I was going to purchase the Lee .379-250 which as you probably know casts a 250 gn bullet.
I can't find any reloading data for reloading with 4198 with a 250 gn bullet.
There is data for the 38/55 since I can shoot a 38/55 bullet in a 375 Winchester can I reload a 375 Brass with the 38/55 data.

Any other information would be appreciated.

Something like this.

Starting Load Max Load
GN Velocity Pressure GN Velocity Pressure
21 1,197 18,200 CUP 26 1,600 26,500 CUP

Just use the 38-55 data. It's lower pressure. I used to have one and load cast bullets for it. And I would recommend slugging your bore and sizing 0.002 over for the best accuracy.

greatwhite: As already mentioned, .38-55 load data will work. The online: Hodgdon Reloading Data Centre also has some load data which may be useful. This includes H4198.

I don't own a .375 Win. but I've owned several 38-55's. I still have two. Both are single shots. Built on Rolling block actions. One has a Green Mountain barrel. The other has a take off Uberti barrel. Both are 1-14" twist. Both are.377" I have a Lyman, an RCBS and Lee moulds. all drop a bullet of 250-255 gr, depending on alloy used. The best bullet, in my rifles and several others we tried this bullet in, is the Accurate Moulds 38-273M. This is a Paper patch bullet, that if ordered in the proper diameter, shines when powder coated!
These are PC'd clear & black and sized to .378"
