Cast my First Ingots Ever Today

I threw my muffin tin in the wood burning stove while I had a fire going.....fished it out when everything was cooled off.....never had a sticking issue

HEHE...I have over 1000 pounds of lead in my shop right now..all cast into 2 pound ingots...Yup 1/2 ton of it all ready to go...and 100 pounds more tomorrow!!

Startling how small that much lead looks, too! That's not much more than a cubic foot (708lbs).

If it sticks warm up the tin molds and sprinkle borax on them melt the borax to coat the mold. then pour your lead.
