hunt a few sections that are wired off for cattle and the deer seem to enjoy being in there. however hard to pattern as they do not have specific feed they are after, that the cows dont get to first. these are quarter sections at most. surrounded by ag fields. anyone hunt similar grounds and see any patterns or have tips.
cows normally at the watering hole this time of year, or huttled up on an oppisite corner. *no stupid comments about shooting a cow*

dont shoot the cow..

typically, deer an cattle beast dont get along- why- cows smell- cows are loud an abnoxious and poor ol deer just wants o chill, is fretting for his life an jumps at shadows.

busy cattle will push deer out of area for short term,...
lock the cows out for only 1 week an see many deer back

Yes I hunt the same type of areas. I'm fortunate in that the landowner will allow me to close a couple gates to keep the cattle away from my two blinds and allow the deer to cycle through. As WL stated deer don't like cattle and vice-versa. The cattle will run the deer off, they are competition for food in their minds. A few days with the gates closed to the cattle and the deer activity at my blinds picks up substantially.
