Just wondering if anyone is carrying the Cav arms AR's in Canada or if they are available? ANhone have any experience with them. Cheers
 
You have better and cheaper options available. Why go through extra paperwork and trouble in pursuit of a really unremarkable AR15? What's with you guys lately? Crappy AR's, Kel-Tec garbage. Jesus, no wonder Walmart is a hit here.
 
Just wanted to know if they were available in Canada or not. At no point did I say it was a remarkable or excellent firearm. Also was interested if anyone has actually fired enough rounds through one to get it hot or start seeing malfunctions.
 
Go check out the Tactical response website and forum. Cav Arms is all they use for rental guns. These folks shoot a lot on their courses, more than most CGn members shoot in a year... I would imagine if its sh*t they wouldn't use it..

I have done alot of reading on Getoffthex and all the opinion has been very positive. Not sure what makes them so good. I understand that they are a bit cheaper for the composite lowers and a bit lighter but don't really know if they would be cheaper in Canada( if available).

I can attest to the TR courses. I have taken their basic pistol and rifle and they are not ammo horder friendly. Top notch instruction and good guys all around. Shotgun and rifle (again) courses coming up in CHilliwack next week. Can't wait.:cool:
 
One reason they like the Cavarms is that it was offered in a shorter A1 length buttstock, and is cheap and light. I've only seen the A2 LOP model for sale though.
