CBC story on Kalashnikov

Eh why not? It's trinkets and t-shirts.....There's brands of "fashion" ex. FC UK I find that tasteless but hey wear what you like. Use the colour or style coffee mug you like ect

Also a good way to help desensitize the antis

Edit I had to space out the fashion label as it was auto censored lol that makes my case for tasteless fashion.....who cares

I saw the report last night too.
Very odd that you could buy a replica pistol in an airport.
Thats gonna cause some excitement when they transfer flights in western Europe...

I watched this last night as well. Thought the interviewer was a little out of touch when she asked if anyone objects to the "I love AK" kids t-shirts. She's in Russia, at a retail outlet inside an airport selling replica AK's and handguns. This made me cringe a little.

I thought it was a pretty good piece until the Airport portion.
That's where the veil of unbiased journalism fell away and the CBC put it's version of the Canadian perspective on the story.
Check out 4:20 in the video with the child size AK branded clothing.
Susan couldn't have had a more disgusted look on her face if the Manager had whipped down his drawers & took a dump in the corner!
Replica Firearms for sale in the Airport struck me as odd too, but it's Moscow not Ottawa.

It was a well crafted piece of CBC Social Engineering, all the fact were in the beginning and quickly forgotten.
The main impression for the average viewer:

Russians are bad & crazy - AK-47, KGB, Secret Police, Secret Agent Bar across the street with guns for door handles, sell gun shirts to kids, sell gun replicas in Airport.
AK-47 - Bad
Fake Guns - Bad
Guns - Bad, Bad, Bad.

I actually had the same face as the reporter by the end of the piece, I assumed we flew a crew all the way over there just for this story.
It looks like it was part of a larger trip that included interviewing the head of the Russian Opposition. Some real political news at least.

Love it, Russians give no ####s to the "political correctness" of a gun shop in an airport. Just wish their products were available here!
