As said a million times before,
do not use CCI ammo in Dlask barrels.
I cannot comment on the NEA barrels,
but if some ammo (any ammo) gives you problems in both,
then it would be wise to stop using that ammo.
You know what the doctor sez,
watch for what kind of food makes you feel sick,
and stop eating that kind of stuf.
Or if it hurts when you walk, then don't walk, ffs.
Or if your car is making that awful noise when
you are taking left turns, you don't really have to be a mechanic
to realize you have to stop taking left fukken turns, man.
It's that simple. *insert smileys here*
Anyway, without joking, stop using CCI ammo in Dlask barrels.
They are not chambered for CCI ammo.
Given the many combinations of bullet type and lenght in CCI ammo,
it is my calculated guess that Dlask will not chamber for
general CCI ammo soon.
CCI company pulled the Blazer from their website.
If that means what I think it means, I'm ready to
get drunk to celebrate.
For those of you with stashes of Balzers, don't buy Dlask barrels.
There are tons of other barrels out there, go get some.
Also, be aware that along the years, Blazer was sold in
quite a few varieties, as shape of bullet and grain.
Even today, CCI sells, among other things, 2 varieties of Mini-Mags:
the Mini Mag HV (round nose, 40gr) and
the Mini Mag HP (hollow point, 36gr).
They chamber different, they fly different, they group different.
But neither works in Dlask barrels.
I posted about this in the past:
If the barrel is of the new breed (May 2011 and up)
(eg it is engraved "D.A.C. X-TREME 22LR")
it will NEVER cycle CCI ammo (Blazers, Stingers, Velocitors, etc).
Yes, the chambers are tight.
These barrels, after the break in, if the rest of the gun is ok,
will generally shoot anything but CCI.
But if you have to shoot CCI ammo,
you may try the sporter variety (engraved "D.A.C. SPORTER 22LR"),
but be aware that the sporter, as the name sez, is NOT a target barrel.
But the Dlask SPORTER will NOT chamber Stinger and Velocitor.
Also, do not confuse the Dlask SPORTER chamber
with the Ruger SPORTING chamber, they are different.
Ruger's SPORTING chamber is a large hole like a counterbore
at the end of the barrel that will chamber
almost anything (except for 9mm).
If the barrel is of the very first batches (Oct 2009 - June 2010)
(engraved "DLASK ARMS CORP 22LR"),
then you may be lucky and after breaking it in,
maybe it will cycle Blasers (but not Velocitors nor Stingers).
Also, in those old barrels, high velocity shoots best
(not slow-velocity/standard-velocity/target, nor hyper velocity,
but HIGH VELOCITY).
Barrels bought between June 2010 and may 2011
will generally not cycle CCI (not even Blazer), but
some will cycle target ammo and maybe show accurate results.
Bulk ammo (Win/Fed) will work the best.
