noticed yesterday that the bulk 525 value pack grouped much worse at 50yards than the 500 pack (10x50) boxes, thought it was the same ammo, different batches mabey? anyone else find this? will post the batch numbers later

I've only ever shot the 500 round packs, so can't say if the bulk is worse but I've seen a fair amount of others make the same claim.

Cheap .22 ammo is just that, cheap. Budget ammo is hit & miss (pun intended) when it comes to quality.

Noticed the same thing about a month or two ago, http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...cks-of-CCI-22-questions&p=7630989#post7630989, general consensus seemed to be the blazers in a 500 pack perform better. I still prefer mini mag, but I can't find them in bulk packs.

I thought Blazers were OK. So I bought a few bricks. Then I noticed severe accuracy issues with a 22 that had no accuracy issues prior. I looked down the bore, and saw blotches. I ran a bore brush down there and literally chunks, yes chunks of lead came out of the bore. This had never happened before. I immediately put the Blazer away and tried copper plated rounds. The problem did not resurface. I now have almost 2 full bricks of Blazer that I will not be using again.

I suspect it was oddly soft lead or something. No other brand of pure lead ammo has done this, nor have I ever had the problem with copper washed/plated bullets.

This was on several forums already but this is what the consensus is...the bulk pack is made by federal...the bullets are different I believe and the 50rd boxes are made by CCI....This was hashed out here already I believe...

I only buy the small cartons of blazers as well...
