Further to my earlier thread on this subject, I was to the range yesterday with only two types of ammo, Winchester Super X and Wildcat.

It was evident at 25 & 50 yds that the higher velocity Wilcats were more accurate. After some sight adjustment, flipping the rear sight from the "u" to the "|_|" for these old eyes, I fired at 10 shot clip at 100 yds and got about a 8" group 6" left. I was impressed. ( I shifted the front sight today.)

In rummaging around in the basement this afternoon, I found an almost 100 CCI CB Longs.

Question:

If I were to single load one of these into the chamber, no magazine involved, would I have a problem?

I think not because even if the pressure was insufficient to extract the case, I could do so manually. Loading with a clip I can see could be a problem.

I forget if it was in a 10/22 or a cooey 64, but in one rifle they would almost cycle completely, and jam the rifle up. Failure to feed or eject, forget which.
Not a big deal.
