CCI Clean .22 in its red and green colours is surely the prettiest and most festive ammo around, I mean just look at the Santa hat on the label, and if I'd noticed it before Xmas I'd surely have requested that my stocking be filled with it. The special coloured polymer coating is advertised to eliminate lead fouling and in the subsonic version is supposed to be specially useful to prevent fouling in suppressors, not a Canadian issue of course, but it speaks to intended professional use or something.

It's relatively expensive of course, and lacking an indoor range that allows .22 I won't have a chance to try it (if I decide to) before spring rolls around, but I'm wondering what the word is on the stuff amongst actual users, I mean if anyone has.

I see that, in the States at least, it comes in both subsonic and HV versions, I suppose I'd be most interested in the sub version as that's usually the most accurate but I believe what I've seen here has been the supersonic stuff. Who's got reviews?

I guess this stuff has not made a big splash in the shooting world... a salesman tells me it's actually quite dirty but they have told me a lot of things over the years that were, ah, not accurate. Anyway the rounds are everywhere I go, maybe reviews will appear when the weather is less sub-zero.

I thought it was gag-ammo for xmas. I didn't realize it was going to be in such availability. I miss ZombieMaxx ammo....it would be nice to have themed ammo. I once bought pink tipped 9mm marketed as 9mm light..... gave it to a buddy of mine who bought a girlfriend a pink pistol. I'd have bought some green/red CCI except its more expensive than it should be as seasonal fun ammo. As its basically priced 20% higher than it should be. Maybe for kids? or as a Gag

Thanks I'll give them a try.

I notice they come in regular CCI packaging as well. The rounds are red & blue to coincide with the CCI brand colours. 100 round packs only though I think. High velocity versions are also available.

Cabela's has the 400 round Xmas pack for $40

They also have the 100 round red & blue versions for $14

4 x 100 packs @ $14 = $56...so the Xmas pack is what I'll likely try first.
