CCI Mini Mag bulk pack

Does anyone know if there's any quality difference between the .22LR CCI Mini Mags that are sold in the bulk pack cardboard box (375 rounds for about $28 at Cabela's) and those that are sold in their standard 100 packs in the plastic box for about $8.99? I love the CCI Mini Mags and don't want to buy the bulk pack if they're seconds or something.
 
I could be mistaken, but IIRC CCI sub-contracted (not really the right term, since both are owned by ATK) some of their rimfire production to Federal during the ammo boom of the last year. The buzz seems to be that the Federal produced CCI is of lower quality... something like the difference between Federal and CCI branded ammo? LOL
 
My rifle prefers the bulk better, but I think because the bulk is 36gr and the 8.99 I usually get is 40gr. I'll see if I try the 36gr from the 100 pack if I get same results.
 
The bulk pack I bought the bullets were covered in a huge amount of wax. It also grouped double or triple the group size of the 100 round packs. I will stick with the 100 round packs.

I tried a few bulk boxes as well. They were covered in excessive wax. The 100 rd packs work great for me. The Federal bulk boxes seem better than the CCI boxes
 
I think I'll stick to the 100 packs too after the feedback here. I like the packaging of the 100 packs better anyway. It's easy slide the lid and pour into my hand the 15 rounds my tube magazine holds. There's a bit of savings in the bulk pack, but no great deal.
 
If i'm not mistaken federal only produced the cci blazer bulk pack, for the $5 savings it's worth trying it out...i use it for my tube fed henry and have had zero issues. And like i said it's giving me the best groups yet, it's the bulk pack with the crocodile hunter guy on it!
