Got a surprise from SAIL-Vaughan yesterday. CCI Mini Mag, 1600 rds in ammo can for $ 110. Price seems competitive if you can find them. It turned out that they had a major shipment last week. Stingers, SV, Mini Mag, 22 Mag, Long/Short and Match. 3 ammo cans left of 1600 rds Mini Mag as of 1:00 PM yesterday.

Come on.

Haven't you read that we Canadian's are not getting any new ammunition coming in from the US for at least a year, especially rimfire.

This must have been some old stuff they dusted off from the basement or something.

Nosalesports in Calgary got a bunch of CCI stuff. They always have it cause they mark up the price compared to fed and rem. My guess is they make a killing on all 22 ammo!
Do you think 40% is a realistic guess?
I remember Norinco ammo selling for $400 and the dealers said they were still making profit off of it. Now that it's $500 that's an extra $100 in there pocket for every crate they sell.
I'm guessing it's the same way for NOsalesports

What is that $6.99 per 100? Why is that a good deal? That's round nose? I would rather pay the regular $7.99 for hollow point which is commonly available here and not have to buy 1600 at a time...

Sail in ottawa was stocking up some of those CCI Mini Mag 1600 cans for $110.00,,so i got 4 of them,,,and they even had a shelf full of stingers 50's,,,got another 40 boxes,,they are only $5;99 there...3 days later it was all gone but a few boxes of stingers,,,i guess the word travels fast,,,,

"Not worth it",,,he says LOL....wont be so funny pretty soon when there's nothing on the shelves ,,,and we're stuck running around trying to fin 22LR's...LOL...$110.00 is a great deal on these cans,,,but when there's none around,,what is,,a great deal,,,???

I'm going to be driving by the Burly Sail today, I will pop in and see if they have any, but I doubt it. That location never has anything I want when I go in there - for such a big place I have left emptyhanded more often than not.

At that price it'll work out to about $0.07/round, which is not great, but not terrible either. Its a price worth paying should something drastic actually happen, and then it'll start looking like what? $0.25? $0.50? $1 every time you pull the trigger on your .22? Thats likely more of a hyperbole than anything else, but you never know...
