CCI Stinger in a GSG 1911?

A stinger has a longer case but has a 32 grain bullet. A long rifle with a 40 grain bullet has the same over all length so yes it does work. I have shot many stingers in my GSG 1911 but it is harder on it.

While they look like a 1911 they are not nearly as strongly built. If it will run on SV ammo, don't run stingers; they can beat the pistol up and damage it; and good luck getting parts or repairing white metal parts.

Agree with this fully. They are known to crack the slides. They are the same as the Sig mosquito. I sold mine to a fellow that had cracked his slide. He couldn’t find a slide anywhere. From internet research somewhere about 12000 rounds and up the slides fail even with regular ammunition. The hotter your ammunition the quicker they will fail. They are a cheaper gun and won’t last like my Colt woodsman or Ruger mk2. Stingers will work but I wouldn’t use them.

Hi fellow shooters I have a GSG 1911 and I use it each time I go shoot. I start a warm up of a few hundred rounds before using my 9MM and I'm very happy with it I shoot the CCI Mini Mag like Sarge_DL mention earlyer and it's the best ammo for it I never had any trouble at all.
I had shot the crap out of that pistol to a point that I completely burn the slide open and lost the slide stopper when I went home to clean it see picture.

And from personnal experience I found the Best place to buy parts for my GSG and I got an outstanding service with those guys at Blue Line Solution see the link in this reply and I hope It will be usefull for you guys.

Stingers and alum frame guns don't mix. Remember my S&W 622 blowing up, after shooting those. Which was fun as the ejection port is right by your web of your hand.

Many serious High Standard pistol shooters recommend only SV .22LR ammo for these handguns because of the risk of damage. I wouldn't use Stingers in a gun like a GSG pistol.
I'm one of those High Standard guys, I love the pistol way too much to abuse it.

You can also just buy a handgun from Irun guns, they'll strip the serialized component and send you all the left over parts. So in the case of the 1911 or Glock you'll get everything except the stripped frame
