CCI Tactical .22 ammo?

There is absolutely nothing Tactical about .22 ammo.....

Sounds like a huge marketing ploy to me. There is nothing this ammo does that others don't without the "Tactical" label.

Round nose, plated, 40 gr, at 1200 fps....

So what makes it different?

The CCI website says it is "optimized" for AR style .22's. LMFAO

How about you pick up a phone and make some calls for him so you don't come off as completely useless. If he can't log in to a gun forum and ask other gun owners if they've seen a gun related product in stores then why don't we all just lobby to get CGN shut down? I mean according to you its a completely wasteful resource that doesn't need to exist.

+1 on this, to the OP, pls don't CGNers from j_06's post please, most don't mind lending another CGNer a helping hand/a heads up on things...

Back on topic, I found 2 or 3 bricks of this at the store in my sig on Saturday, I honestly don't know what would make it so specific to AR style .22's.... Do the bullets come with quad picatinny rails w/ "tactical light/laser combo"? Maybe they're ninja bullets!!! He will ship the ammo to you if you don't mind waiting about a week for it. I didn't check the price, I grabbed the last box of Federal bulk.

I think j_106 took OP's request differently than OP meant it. It reads as if he was initially asking fellow members to actively look for the ammo themselves while he waited for a response, rather than asking members if they had seen it anywhere.

How about pick up a phone?

Thanks. Well, I called Sam Drucker. He is completely out. But, he was nice enough to telegraph Pixley Rod & Gun. They are out as well, but are expecting some CCI ammo on the next Cannonball run, according to Uncle Joe. I did find out that the Bijou has a good film showing with that cute little Mary Pickford.

I don't know about you, but I do work, and travel southwestern Ontario. I do not have the time to call every gun shop in southwestern Ontario. And, I find most gun shop owners do not care about ammo sales (a $25 purchase for a brick). When I do call them or go there, they say "I can get 'em". Then they check their supplier and respond, "don't know when though. They are out".

I just asked in anyone in SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO (and you are not), has seen them. I would then jump into my trusty steed and head henceforth to said gun shop and perhaps purchase 2 or 3 bricks.

But, thanks for the hint to telephone. I will keep that in mind.

Well, according to the shape of the actual bullet, it looks like it may fit the magazine a little better in the 25+ mags that I have. I am into trying new ammo anytime it becomes available. I am also an avid airgunner with 100+ air rifles and pistols, many high end. I have Thousands of different pellets, round balls, etc. If I were happy with one pellet, I would just go to CTC.

I do want to thank the many fellow CGN'ers that realized what I was looking for. Just a store in Southwestern Ontario that has them in stock. You can not ship ammo via Canada Post, so it would have to be sent via courier. Which, would make shipping almost as much as a brick. I find this to be a great forum, but, as in all forums, there are different types of people.

Thanks all,
Bearc
