So after a fruitless search for 10 round mags for my t3 tac .308 ive decided to put in a cdi short action dbm. Question, do i do it myself or should i have a gunsmith install this and if so do you know of any good ones in the GTA.

I always recommend gunsmith install or if you have access to a milling machine and the willingness to do the precise work.

Some have installed with hand tools but not my cup of tea.

If interested in a DBM, let me know... Thanks

I bought one and installed it myself but it took some dremel skills. If I were to do it again I would likely get a gunsmith.

I too did my own on a Savage. Any inperfections were going to be fixed with the bedding job. Going to do it again on my Tikka myself when the time comes.

CDI is the way to go, they make a great product.

Going to do this on a Tikka Tactical 308, I know the mag well will need to be opened up for width, but how to the holes for the action screws line up? Going to put it into a Boyd's laminate and will have a friend with a mill do the work. Thanks.

I purchased Atlax Worx bottom metal and inletted my Tikka stock.....its not that difficult at all, just takes some time. Sending it to a gunsmith would be very expensive and you'd be waiting months for your rifle.
