CDN Tire - Barnaul 9 mm $14.99

Noticed my local Canadian Tire has a sale on Barnaul 9 mm 115 gr FMJ, $14.99 per box of 50. I have no experience with this ammo. Just noticed the good price. Picked up a few boxes to try.

Ive used it a few times, and it worked well for me, no problems of any sort. And that is a good price for ir also.

These have hard primers, some guns require a 2 go to make them go bang

I had a 1000 of them. Lacquer coated steel cases - they're supposedly known to have the lacquer melt and gunk up the chamber. For the price though... very good. At local (Calgary) clubs is 0.38/round for the bulk 1000 rd container of bulk.

They are steel cased and dirty but they going bang every time for me.

Steel case, berdan primed, and steel in the jacket of the bullet.

That could be a concern in some indoor ranges.

If it's on sale and goes bang with decent accuracy buy it up as it's not getting much cheaper these days

they go bang, sometimes dont ignite, and they are dirty dirty little buggers, but for plinking at the range, cheap is good, just strip er down after and clean the hell out of it..lol

I grabbed a box of them also to try in my new to me CZ 75b. They also have brazier brass 124 grain for only $2.00 more

I've had issues running in m&p and glock. Hard primers , few jammed rounds. I'd avoid personally. For extra $2 buy brass

Never had a problem with them in my SAM 1911 9mm.

They ran perfect in my SAM 1911 until the lacquer jammed the 40th round in the barrel .
Had to use a aluminum filler rod to drive it out.
I think for the price I will just give them away to the first person at the range that can use them.

I normally shoot 100rds of it. Then let it sit in the safe for a month and shoot more. I never cleaned and 400rds still no issue. Only thing I did was clean my extractor to solve my pinging me in the forehead.

In 350 rounds in my CZ 75B I've had one round not feed, and another have a light primer strike. That's it. Technically speaking it's been more reliable than brass cased Wartak factory reloads.

i know my 75B likes the blazer brass way better then that barnaul

Tried both at the range last night. The Blazer Brass stuff grouped better for me. Went to WSS today and the only 124 grain they had was Winchester White box for a whopping $25.00 a box. Grumpy old ba$tard behind the counter blamed our dollar, then tried to sell me Blazer 115g Aluminum case stuff for around $16.00 a box. Stock up while you can Nutz.
