Good day,
11 of came out to shoot the CDPA/IDPA Classifier shoot at the Pembroke Outdoor Sportsman's Club on 22 Apr 06. The weather was less than ideal but everyone had a good time. It was C, overcast with drizzle to light rain throughout the day.
We still have 10 others who could not make this date but can host Classifiers at short notice for them and any who want to re shoot. The Classifier consists of 3 stages with a total of 14 strings. Each stage is 30 rounds Limited Vickers scoring.
We shot half of the Classifier and then had lunch (pizza) at the clubhouse and warmed up a bit before continuing on.
I scored a 125 or 126 in the SSP Division (Stock Service Pistol) which is in the Sharpshooters classification which was about 5 points from Expert Classification.
The Course of Fire is challenging and lots of fun. I like the idea of the Classifiers which is a standard course of fire for all CDPA/IDPA shooters. You shoot to the best of your ability and get scored accordingly.
We had lots of fun out there with lots of good natured banter for all to give and take. I would like to thank Steve, Jeff, and Don of the POSC for setting this up.
