CE Harris Lee molds for powder coating.

Lee sells two molds designed by CE Harris, does anyone have any experience with both? Have you powder coated both? Which had worked best for you?

I've had both, powder coated both. The standard 155gr grease groove model shot better in everything i tried it in so I sold off both dual cavity molds and bout a 6 hole 155gr mold and it casts even better than the 2 cavity molds. I've used them with great success in 7.62x39, 308, 30-06, 300blk,and 30-30. The standard 155gr grease groove bullet performed better in all of them. Never pushed anything faster than about 2200fps.

I have two of those in the 6 cavity. They both pour good bullets. The newer one has the grooves etched on the top. Can't say that I notice the difference, but it probably does. I don't powder coat but do use them in .308, 30-06 etc. I mostly pour WW + a bit of lino in each potful. I gas check them all. I love those LEE molds. :)

I've had the Lee TL312-160 gr. mould for many years, PC wasn't a thing when I first got the mold so I shot it using Alox/JPW lube, I started powder coating it several years ago and I can tell no différance in accuracy with it coated. I shoot this bullet in mutiple SKS and Mosin rifles as well as my 300 Sav. and 30-06 sized accordingly, it's one of the most accurate bullets I shoot in all these rifles.

I have the 155 2R that I’m using in my Remington 783 300 blk with 1/7 twist. I’m not getting great accuracy. I think the twist is over spinning the Boolits. I think I need to try to slow it down. Curious if anyone else if having the same issue? Suggestions?
