Just picked up a CE42, ALL MATCHING EXCEPT FOR THE BOLT, which matches itself.
Some idiot coated the stock with walnut stain so I went at it with lacquer/thinner and rags.
Six or seven hours later the stain was gone and I rubbed in a coat of raw linseed oil.
I think it looks pretty good.
I think it is a vet bringback owing to the bolt being all matching but not to the rifle.
I think the bolt is a pre or early war Mauser Oberndorf WaA 63 and oval gas ports but may be early DOT/DOU, JB or Canadian AR may know better.
Stock and handguard are matching to the rifle.
Bore is decent.
Some say this a harder code to find but regardless I am pleased with the way it cleaned up.
Here's a few pics for anyone interested.
