Anybody has experience with Celestron scope ? I am in the market for a spotting scope. I only do target shooting up to 200 yds and Celestron spotting scopes seem to fit in my budget. Thanks.

C W Celestron scopes offer great value for the money, and the warranty is unbeatable, are you looking at the Ultima 65 mm? I have used both the 45 degree eye piece and the newer straight through model, like you say tough to beat for the price. FS

I was in Canadian Tire today and saw a Celestron scope, I think it was called a c65 MiniMac (sp?), selling for $99. It was one of the mirror-type scopes, angled eyepiece. I was thinking of going back to have a look at it, so if I get more info I'll post it.

The Mini Mak is an ok piece but tough to use at the range as is a 30 - 90 zoom eye piece and the table top tripod that it comes with is hard to use, but if you mount it on a regular tripod its much easier to use.FS
