centaure 9mm ammo 124g and 147g leaving sand in my p99

so recently got bulk 1000rnd of 124 and 147g centaure ammo put 150 rounds of each through my p99 on sunday . shot great no failures bullets go straght enough . so pulled my gun down to clean it and little white specles of a sandy looking grit all through it . I will post pics tomorow when back from range if it happens again . has anyone elce noticed this ??
 
Yup, I've shot lots of Centaure ammo and there's always grey/brown powder particles that looks like (sand grains) left in the gun when it got cleaned. That comes from using cheaper powder. The Norc pistol ammo (.45 ACP) have the same "problem", it goes bang and have decent accuracy but leaves the gun dirty as hell.
 
Funny, I've found the Centaure reloads to be cleaner than the Wolf stuff I've used. (At least in .38 special) The Wolf reloads seem to produce more smoke and leave move residue on the cylinder.

I wonder if these commercial reloaders always use the same powder or if it sometimes changes due to lack of availability?
 
Never tried Wolf reloads so can't compare. But the centaure in .38 and .357 are not more dirty than the Win WB, Fed AE or Rem UMC stuff. It's their 9mm ammo I was talking about.

Using it in .45acp, 200gr hot load too, nice muzzle flash, but powder everywhere. It's been useless to me in 9mn with 147gr....still have to try it with .40.
 
I buy it from trade x canada reloaded already by the 1000 rounds . I will take pics on sunday when I burn through another 300 rounds . it fires good . the 147gr feels better than the 124 tho . its going through a walther p99 pistol . 9mm . will try it in my new p226 when my temporary att comes hopefully tomorrow.
 
I bought a case of 9mm 147gr in 1000 bulk from trade x last month. I was at the range yesterday and did not notice anything unusual. 150 rounds went down my luger, no problems
 
I picked up my case of the 124 Grain 9mm Centaure today. When I shoot it in my CZ 75B I'll report back with what I find. On a side note, what kind of casings did you guys get? My entire case of 1000 is Winchester nickel-plated brass.

I run lots of wolf mostly 9 an 45 and never had any issues the only think I will say about the wolf stuff is that it does make we put I a few extra minutes when cleaning compared to factory ammo. Over all good stuff
