July 31 Match

Just a question; can a shooter run in two classes, production & tactical? I'll assume it's double fees for the match, but in your opinion, is there enough time during the course of the day to permit this? 308 in tactical, 6.5 in production.

Any info appreciated

So you get to shoot each stage twice? Yeah, magic 8-ball says "Not happening".

I've shot in more than one division in last years PRS series stateside, which is why I posted "Just a question...". Is this the official response from the match director or are you match staff?

No, I'm not the MD, hence the magic 8-ball part.

Just to clarify, you shot in multiple divisions in the same match? As in shot each stage twice, with different rifles?

PRS rulebook said:
3.5.6 Mulligans defined as an authorized “second try” or “do over” of a stage is not
permitted in any PRS sanctioned match.

No, not in the same match, although I believe this was allowed to Mil/Leo at several matches like Mason Dixon, etc. Again this is why the question was raised. A "do over" is not the same as shooting the same stage hours apart due to the obvious variances in environmentals, DOPE on completely different rifles, etc.

Yes or no, it was just a question, best left answered by an official, thanks.

If I shoot 6 Dasher and have no factory ammo available on the market does that mean I have to switch to a different caliber?

I'm in the same boat with my 6XC, will likely have to run 6 or 6.5CM, or a 308 in tactical. But has anyone ever needed a better excuse to buy another gun? :)

Is Mason Dixon an official sanctioned PRS match, or part of a separate series?

"Hours apart"? How do you figure that? Lets assume they let you shoot twice, in two divisions. You spend 8 hours going through the CoF in your first division. Do you think they are going to keep the match running until midnight just so you can shoot the whole thing again in your second division? No, you would shot each stage twice before moving on to the next stage. Hence the obvious advantages like familiarity with the props, target locations, wind conditions, course of fire etc.

Well, it's a stupid question.

Hey brother, take your sh*t attitude elsewhere. A quick review of your plethora of posts shows you have little to add other than bait & troll remarks, so do us all a favor and keep quiet so the adults can have a conversation. Regardless of what you're fishing for, or trying to insinuate with your rhetorical, unwarranted comments, the tone sucks and is not in keeping with why the Precision Rifle Series was started.

Hey buddy, I can't help but notice you didn't address any of my points, instead going for the old shoot the messenger approach.

I have explained why the MD is almost certainly not going to let you shoot twice. Perhaps you can come up with some reasons why he would let you?

Nope. One or the other. You can swap between either during the tune up day on Saturday.
