Cerakote VS. Manganese Phosphate finishes

Many metals can not be parkerized, where all metals CAN be cerocoated.
Both are very durable finishes, I think that assuming proper application they would be about the same, my experiences with Cerocoat is that it is very durable, however if ANY contamination is left on the metal, in the spray gun, or oven the finish reflects it in poorer durability. Parkerizing is not effected this way due to the acid prebath that the metal gets, thereby removing an possibilty of imperfect reaction.
