Cerrosafe

Would anyone know where in the Edmonton area one could get some Cerrosafe ? My son in law has a broken cartridge in his M1 Garand I need to get out.

Why not use a stuck cartridge removing tool?

Alternativly as a last resort you could try using an ear plug to block the barrel and fill the chamber with a copper disolving bore cleaner.

Cartridge remover hasn't worked. I didn't think copper disolving bore cleaner would dissolve and actual cartridge.

Cerrosafe won't help. Cerrosafe is a soft metal used for chamber casts. You need a .30-06 ruptured case remover. A suitably sized tap or screw will do it as well.
Copper dissolving bore cleaner won't help either.

Cerrosafe will definitely work. Use the same process as if you were doing a chamber cast . Then tap the case and cerrosafe out with a cleaning rod. I purchased mine a number of years ago from Brownells. Try Western Gun Parts.

I have pulled a couple cartridges with a tap and a cleaning rod.

You sacrifice a couple cartridges to use to find the tap that will 'just' bite into the case neck, and then tap it loose with a rod.

Use a little common sense (which pretty much means that Sunray's "advice" is pretty much useless) and you will cause no harm. Get heavy handed, and like as not, the potential is there.
