Oh, I can assure you I know exactly how far Pet is.

I just hate pet, and if I don't have to go there I won't. It's also the difference between two nights at home, in my own bed with a hot naked fiancé in it, or 2 nights in a hotel/friends place/piss stink drunk as #### buddies shacks.

I'm not saying you won't fill the course in Pet, just saying there's probably enough people down here as well to fill some serials, who wouldn't otherwise travel to the deathbed of youth and black hole of ambition. Oh sorry, I meant to say Petawawa.

Damnit, I might be in Kingston that weekend. Will it be the exact same stuff covered as the Pet clinic?
Yes, but without the stale jokes. Performance objectives are identical since we prepare you for the same matches that the ORA holds at Base Borden.

And if you are fast enough, Timk still has spaces for you. Once you pay him, Timk will send you the letter of invite for your Temporary ATT. I can fwd you his contact information. :D

Cheers,
Barney

The Petawawa CQB clinic is about 1/2 full , If you are thinking of coming sign up soon .
I have the letter of invitation drawn up , send me an email with your full name and RPAL # and I will send you the letter by email and you then contact the CFO to get the STATT. If you dont have access to a printer I will mail the letter to you .

is this a yearly thing or one time only. I have been himming and hawwing about it and thought it was just going to be all buddies joining. Then finally decided to join, then before I got home to sign up I broke my FN leg in three places/surgury the whole nine. Being in my later 30s there is no way I will heal in time and if I do I will worry about hurting myself the whole time at the clinic which can be a downer. Please say there is another one next year

Yes I am sure we will have another next year .... as long as we keep Hungry happy I see him coming here alot.
This will be the 3rd different clinic we have had Hungry here for .The other 2 were the M-14 clinic and the Precision shooting clinics last year .
We have those scheduled again here with him this fall.

precision shooting in the fall eh, just trying to get into that as well, just waiting for my rifle to arrive (three months and counting). Should be good by the fall, whats the criteria/distances shooting.

I missed it last year (was sick), but from what I hear it was great. I'll be there for sure this year rocking the M14 with bushnell 3200 tactical.

Not sure on the exact criteria but it's somwhere on here or Hungry's site.

Precision / Sniper Rifle Kit to Bring:

* A safe precision/sniper rifle in at least .223 Rem caliber and larger. .308 Win is a common platform
* Hand operated target turrets on your optic already mounted to your rifle. 4.5 x 14 scopes are common. 6.5 x 20 scopes are seen frequently. 8 x 30 scopes are great optics for these matches. Scopes with a parallax adjustable side focus work well. Adjustable objective scopes work too, but more annoying to work with while in the prone position. Just don't show up with the stereotypical 3 x 9 coin operated hunting scopes because you will be wasting your time (and money)

* Suggested scope choices:

- Bushnell Elite 6400, 6500
- Leupold Mark 4 LR/T , Nikon, Vortex Razor, Zeiss
- NightForce, US Optics, Premier Reticles, Schmidt & Bender, Swarovski

* Rear bunny, sand bag, mono pod style rear rests work, too.
* Notebook to record your sight settings
* Anemometer (Kestrel-style) hand held wind gauges
* spotting scope and tripod
* Rucksack, 3 day pack, Assault pack to carry your kit around the range
* Snacks, granola bars, nuts, fruit, extra fluids
* 200 rounds of safe, tested, reliable ammunition for your rifle (hopefully chronographed already)
* Sunscreen, bug dope, ballistic glasses, hearing defenders
* Extra food and water (someone always forgets)
* Screwdriver set - compact enough?
* OH Shzt Kit (if you don't know, I will teach you)
* Rain gear or appropriate foul weather gear
* Shooting mat
* Ballistic software, handheld device (Smartphone?)
* Laptop or Tablet with USB interface... I'll tell ya why later on
