CFB Petawawa 2 Day CQB Clinic with Hungry

Okay clinic fans:

We are a few days away. I'm packing up the CQB gear for the fun weekend. Hopefully every one has their ATT (temporary or club ATT) and ready to go. If you are not sure how much ammo to bring, go bring some more. Someone always runs out.

Now ensure you bring enough or more than enough water, drinks, food, snacks because we will eat and get right back to shooting. You are paying me the big bucks, so let's bring it on!

We will be meeting or RV'ing at the Base Fire Hall (immediately on the right) at between 0800 and 0830.

You will look for chalkriver's WHITE F150 and my WHITE Toyota Tacoma.

We will gather, carry out the registration and final fee payments. Some people have not paid me yet, no worries. I will see you on Saturday and sort that out then.

Then we will all convoy it to Range Control and register with the Range Control Staff, then we drive to Yankee Range for the clinic.

Any questions? Post them here!

Barney

Just checked the Weather Network, the long range forecast looks really nice.

Looking forward to two nights of uninterrupted sleep and not having to change two poopy diapers first thing in the morning. Oh yeah, and there's shooting!

We are really looking forward to having this clinic in Pet , I will have my BBQ at the range shack and we will have some burgers and soft drinks for sale.
I hope I dont forget the burger flipper again ...last clinic I was using a pop can..LOL
I have a few Deer sausages and Deer pepperettes put away for you Barney. A white Toyota Tacoma ??......did you give the Rav to the kids or something ??
I will have an extra AR and a SIG 9mm witha Serpa holster if it is required by someone , our club Pres is lending them to us for the weekend . Members from our club have first priority on their use .

Yeah, I gave the 10 year old black Rav4 to my son out west. Did not want him buying a potential POS, so after $1200 on the rail to Delta, he's really happy and feels like he won the lottery. :D

I will bring an extra vest and holster set (RH and LH) for some newbies who are still learning to kit up. Those of you who have not paid, ensure ya bring the $70 with ya. I've had a few cancellations and refunded their $70, not a problem.

We are still gonna have fun.

Now if someone could brief me on the dryest (no flooding rivers or closed highways) route from Barrie area to Petawawa, that would be just great. I was gonna go up Hwy 11 to Hunstville and across 60 through the Park.

Now I might have to do Orillia to Bancroft and then up to Barry's Bay and then to Pembroke/Petawawa

Anybody got current highway status?

Cheers,
Barney

If there is still room I have a buddy that'd like to come out, nothing like last minute decisions :)

If anyone has an extra buffer tube and stock (cheap or trade) that they are looking to get rid of let me know.

Lots of room. Had a couple of cancellations. This clinic is not like our Borden and Kingston clinics what were FULL and had resulted in the creation of standby lists. We are open fer business.

Cheers,
Barney

Sounds good, I mentioned it to Morgan too. I'll have him bring cash on Saturday unless you want an EMT prior to then.

Oh, and my normal priced PMAGs showed up from Calgary Shooting Centre so I'm good to go now for mags.

All packed up I hope (we'll find out tomorrow). Only thing I can't find is spare batteries for my optic so hopefully it doesn't crap the bed :p

Just debating if I should bring out the 12.5" barreled wingmaster I have for sale ;)

Excellent weekend of training ......good times and a good course.
Thanks Hungry once again you put on another great clinic.

Thanks goes to Funker Tactical and his sponsor for the prizes ..... who donated the prizes ?
I put my new vest together last night so now I wont look like Steve Erkell anymore ..lol

Someone left a 3 legged stool at the range shack ,,,I am thinking it was the guy from North bay with the red ford 1/2 ton.
I have scheduled hungry to come up twice more this fall ....precision clinic and a m-14 clinic . I will start a thread with the dates soon.
As well we have a 2 day club shooting competition coming up soon . Last year I won a Mosin Nagant 91-30 !!
I would like to say it was due to my good shooting but it was the door prize..lol
Thanks again Hungry and it was nice to meet some new shooters .
Thanks everyone for coming out ....hope no-one got sick from my burgers ..lol.

I am gonna miss that "Steve Erkell" Fashion statement with the FLC (fighting load carrier) vest you had on. :nest:

Anybody take some pics of chalkriver with this fashion statement? :D

Maybe the Funker Tactical dudes will feature you in their next episode!

Cheers,
Barney
