yup, we were driving into town when I got a call on my cell - it's the CFO for Okanogan. (??? I live in the Vancouver area) anyway he had a question about my wife's RPAL application. Answered, and then we shot the breeze for 5 minutes or so. (Nice guy!)
I won't go into detail, but what others on this forum have said is true- hiring freeze, folks left the dept. for other jobs, and some shuffling of bodies. Also a 20+% increase of PAL and RPAL applications since the LGR was sent down the chipping saw.
I also said I hope you're getting time and 1/2, he said that he wouldn't be doing this for free! so my wife's status has changed, RPAL issued, in the mail within two weeks.
I guess I am happy that they are taking the situation seriously, and working on weekends to clear the back log.
