Hi - I am heading to CFRC in Connaught for my first time this year, I will be shooting the Early Short course, F Class.

I've been shooting outdoors for a year (with ORA) and several years indoors, so I know some of what I bring in my shooting kit. That being said, I'd love to hear some advice on what you have in your bag when you hit the range, both behind the mound and when on the mound.

What is your tracking set up, do you have wind charts, etc. Key tools beside the basic pliers, screwdrivers, allen keys etc.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Ron

Ron,
Maynard here from Stuffer's computer. Some shooters carry so much stuff they need carts to get it all to the line...
A shooting mat will keep you clean and maybe dry. Rain gear, umbrella for shade and rain, folding chair unless you like sitting in the mud. Allen keys, small towel to put over the action when it rains. Plastic bag to keep all your score cards, plotting sheets and such. Cleaning rod just in case you get a stuck case.
The wind chart I use is the old AJ Parker wind chart. It is just a rough guide anway.
I shoot Target Rifle so I have other stuff that I need to carry. Spotting scope, spare handstop, extra sling, shooting glove, hat, scorebook, shooting glasses, shooting jacket, sweat band, shooting sweater, touque wrench, bolt gease and bolt flags.

Good luck with your first CFRC, I will see you there.
