i got a Swedish CG63E, the 7.62 model made for export to the UK and Canada.i'd like to learn some more about them, but all the material i find on them is in regards to the 6.5x55 model. what kind of value do they have? which type of competition where they used for, and what can i use it for now? will probably hunt with it this fall, carefully. it shoots like a house on fire, even with cheapo UMC ammo, but copper fouls so bad after 40 rounds it won't group. sharp rifling i guess. any info is greatly appreciated.

They were intended for use in DCRA/PRA competitions. Very dated now, would be considered obsolete for the purpose. Could still be used for this, or any receational shooting. I would suppose that one would have the same sort of value as the 6.5s, Sportco 44s, etc.
If it copper fouls that quickly it might be an idea to try it with moly'd bullets. Loss of grouping after only 40 rounds would certainly be a handicap if you wanted to take it to a match.
