One of the issues with the Hammond game getter is you need multiples of them, or you only have one shot. But for 308, 30-06, 30-30, 30-40 Krag, 303, 8mm etc, you can make gallery or game getter loads easily. And you don't really need dies, or a reloading press , scale, etc.
Using a casing fired from the gun, punch out the spent primer using a nail or appropriately sized punch. By hand start a new primer, and seat it by sitting the case on a board, and use a wood dowel, or appropriately sized bolt inside the case. And tap the case down over the primer.
Using a simple powder scoop sized for approximately 5gr trail Boss, or Vihtavouri Tin Star (or a host of other possible powders) add powder. You can by a set of scoops cheap. Or make one from an empty casing etc.
Then seat a 0 buck lead pellet, this will work for all the calibers listed, and more. You can push it in manually up against a bench etc, or give it a gentle tap with a light hammer etc.
These are very accurate out to 25yd, and still usable out to 50yd. And very inexpensive to make
Here one is pictured in 303.
