I'm in the process of building a lube system for chambering. The pump/motor combo I have will put out 2.2 gpm. Will this be enough flow to flush chips?

You want to have a low volume/high pressure pump.
You want it to have enough pressure to push by the bushings on the reamer and you don’t want to make a mess when you pull the reamer out.

I chambered for over 50 years with never having a "lube" system ... a friend had a homemade gravity feed system but it did not force chips out... he still had to stop periodically and clean the reamer and chamber.

To force chips out will require pressure and flow. An easy to use on/off switch would be good to have.

You dont know what you miss out on Dennis:d.
This is my setup I put together earlier in the year when I setup my new to me lathe.
It’s a great convenience to have the flush system but I chambered lots of barrels without it.(not even a small fraction to what you have done)
