Just picked up a new mag from a local store, I have been looking for a reliable 597 mag for a while but haven't seen these until today.

Anyone have any experience with them? good or bad.

Some if the 30rnd Remi mags don't work too bad but they are ugly and reliability is hit and miss.

This Champion mag has a coiled up band spring vs the rectangular zig-zag spring most mags have.

let us know how thy fit-feed & how easy to load. Thanks

Im hoping to get out to the range soon, the only thing I have been able to test is loading he mag.

It loads incredibly well, the spring tension is the same the whole way down. #25 is as easy as #1
must be because of he spring design.
Here is a comparison of the two springs

I have a promag with about 400 through it. Had an issue once, friend said it jammed. He cleared it before i could see what caused it though so I dont know if it was the mag or not. Mag lets you dump 25 rounds no problem so far.

Looks promising. OEM 10-rounder are good. The OEM 30-rounder is not as bad except the issue with LRHO which can be fixed. Promag seems to be negatively reviewed though I have not seen and used one. Please post your opinion as soon as you get to use it.

Finally got out to the range the other day but unfortunatly the mag did not perform well. It fed fine when a round was sitting in the feed lips but, almost every round got hung up and did not feed because it was not being pushed up.

The rounds I was using where blazer bulk and they where more waxy than what I normally feed my gun. I thinking the wax was gumming up the mag and not allowing it to function properly so im going to give it a cleaning and try agin with cleaner ammo.
