It`s Polish made, 1953, 7.62x54R and has not been fired...The wood is excellent, no scratches or dings...The bore is pristine, the bolt is buttery smooooth...No rust, no pits and has a fold out bayonet...It looks like it was built yesterday....Dealer wants 250.00....And it comes with it`s original sling....Fair deal?....Good deal?...Or what?....

I think the Polish M44's are the nicest looking MN's ever made. I paid $110 for a brand-new one 20 years ago.

It's a reasonable price, IMO.

I sold 62 of them each with a box of shells for $125 at my little shop.
$250 for a new conditioned one now is not unreasonable. They are really finely made rifles.

Its a good deal! I have a few of the Polish M44's, superbly accurate with .311 Sierra Matchkings (174 grain) over a charge of IMR 4350. They are a lovely rifle!

$250 is a fair and square deal for both buyer and seller. If you don't take it you'll regret it later. It's getting hard to find unfired ones now. They are A+ rifles, and what other rifle can you buy new for $250? Buy it.:)
