Change color on my AR?

Hey guys,

Don't know if this thread has been up before, I'm sure it has but I couldn't find anything. So here goes it:

If I want to turn my shorty AR15 upper and lower into tan or green how do I go about doing it? Is it merely paint? I'm not talking about the furniture, just the receivers. Do they do some sort of powdercoating? And how durable is it? I'm not sure how comfortable I would be painting my setup...

Or are the good ones manufactured in a certain color and I have to go out and buy stripped components to convert mine?

Any help would be appreciated,

Check out Duracoat as well. I just did my FAL up in it and it was great.

it's a rifle, not a 17 year old prom queen, get a can of krylon from Dave's and have at 'er..., if you make it look ####ty enough noone will know you actually posted about how to paint your rifle...
