Change mount or bridge the handguard?

I really enjoy spuhr mounts for scope leveling simplicity.
This one though, even if cantilevered, does not push the scope as far out as I’d like.
I’m not a tall guy, so do not extend adjustable buttstock to it’s fullest.
And if i don’t slightly bridge like in pics, eye relief is not optimal.
Btw, barrel is in the mail, so anti rotation tabs are not installed, just installed to test fit.

I may get ridiculed for this, but I can't see the issue with bridging the handguard on a modern design, as long as it's perfectly flat and level with the upper.

I have a Geissele MK8 handguard with an integrated bipod and I can lean my entire body weight onto the middle between the upper and handguard, and there's zero flex at all...

That may have applied to old drop in handguards, or old designs that touched the front sight, but I think modern handguards are just as rigid as monolithic uppers.

There's no reason not to push it forward as needed seeing as you can have a castle nut or anything in the way.

That's only ever an issue when you deal with non-free floated handguards like drop-in units.

Alright will give it a try.
Handguard is supposed to be stiff when all will be said and done,
And mount does have 4 screws fastened at 45 in/lbs, which 3 are on flat top and 1 slightly overlapping to HG.

At the time I was debating between ADM recon and spuhr, finished with spuhr as I had a great deal, and was scared that ADM quick release levers could eventually shift zero.

I actually have an ADM mount on my Tikka T3 tac, and have taken the scope off quite a few times and never had a zero shift. As long as you make sure they're nice and snug, they return to zero just fine!

With that said, the Spuhr mounts are really hard to argue with! especially if taking it off isn't a primary concern (my T3 tac has irons so I wanted to be able to remove the scope!)

On my precision rifle with a 4.5-27 Razor 2 scope, I find that spuhr is the perfect scope mounting solution, I couldn't imagine more solid or better.

On this AR15, I am coming to reality that spuhr wasn't the perfect solution.
Did more testing today, I have to shift it another Tslot forward, , to get that perfect eye relief at 6x if i cheekweld in a forward stance, with the buttstock fully extended and collapsed by one click
Wow I hope that last sentence wasn't weird English is not my main language lol.

Doing more and more research about ADM recon, I think the Spuhr will go up on the EE (unfortunately as i'm a big Spuhr fan).
The more I think about it, the more my brain is uneasy bridging on the handguard, doesn't seem right.

The Spur scope rail mount is one continuous piece, it is not going to flex at all. besides it is a service rifle not a precision bench shooter.

I do have a precision rifle so this AR is not designed to be one.
I also have the intention of torqueing the sling on the handguard.
The Spuhr does look beefy to agree with you, maybe the mount will hold the handguard in place more than the anti rotation tabs...
