Changing caliber, just the barrel?

I was just looking for accessories for my new STI and noticed I can get new barrels for 400 bucks in whatever caliber I want, and it didnt seem like any other part was caliber dependant.

And now I dont know how hard it actually is to break it down enough to get the barrel out, but I was told its pretty easy. Just wondering if its easy enough that I could go from .40 to .38 super when I want to.
 
You can swap from .40 to 10mm with just a new barrel & recoil spring. .45, 38 super, 9mm, etc. will unfortunatly require a matching slide & mags. Easy solution: Buy more guns!
