I was listening to an episode of reload radio today and they said to change calibers in a G 22 all you have to do was change barrels. Is this true for particular calibers?

I have used an aftermarket barrel from Germany in 9 x 19 in my Glock 22 for years. The only other thing I changed were the mags. I believe there are some other switches you can do but this is the only one I have done. Works very well, never been an issue.

I have a Glock 22 and it came with a ported wolfe 9mm barrell and yes its just a drop in and go, you can use the 22 mags for the 9mm but they are sloppy, better off to get a 17 mag than no fuss at all,

I totally agree. I tried it with the .40 mags and there were issues. For what it cost it was well worth it to get the 9mm mags.

Might be a stupid question, but can the reverse be done?

Convert a G17 9mm to a 40s&w. Frames look to be about the same.

Only 40 down to 9. The ejector are different and the outside dimensions of the stock barrels are not the same.... The conversion barrel is made thicker to match the .40

I have a lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel for my glock 22 gen4 and use it more than factory barrel. I also run 9mm mags and recoil spring.
