Changing Nightforce reticle

This has probably been covered before at some point, but what is the up-to-date situation right now?

I have a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x24mm with a NP-R2 reticle, and it doesn't really meet my needs. I'd like to swap it out for a FC-2 reticle which would be far more useful to me.

Does anyone know what the process might be? Do I send it direct to Nightforce, or do I need a Canadian dealer to help me do this? Also what are the estimated total costs for something like this?

Thanks.

So this is possible?

Yes it is. The advantage of using a Canadian dealer is that you WILL get the scope back as he scope goes down and back on permits.
You will still pay the shipping down. Depending on how soon you want it back will depend on whether it gets included with the shipping of a stock order or seperately. Seperately wil cost you more obviously.

It'd be less fuss to sell the scope you have and buy a scope with the reticle you want.

There is truth in that statement. With the actual cost of the reticle change and shipping the costs add up quickly.
The only issue for the OP is that the 2.5x10x24s are now obsolete, so this is not an option unless he can find a good used 1 with the reticle he wants.
