Is there a location in Canada that I would be able to have the reticle change on a Mark 4 Leupold 3.5-10 x 40 mm from mildot to TNR ? I inquired with Leupold and they gave me a contact but unfortunately this company cannot do the work...

No unfortunately this is a problem that both Korth Agencies or Leupold will not address and so much for there lifetime warranty .It is next to Useless in Canada because you the owner of the Scope have to send it to Leupold in the US after filling out all the export paperwork and when the Repair is done You have to get both US State Dept and Dept of Commerce export permits to Get Your scope back to Canada. Korth Agencies will not lend you any assistance what so ever you are in all intents and purpose on your own. Nightforce on the other hand no problems send it down to the US factory they will do all the Paperwork and send it to the nearest dealer when done .

Not sure about a modification, which is asked about here not a repair. Korth Group as they are now called services all Leupold Scopes including the Mark 4's. Regarding the Mark 4's, if the problem cannot be rectified in house, they will replace the scope with a brand new one. Regarding the highlighted portion, I don't when the last time you sent a scope to Korth but that is not correct. A co-worker recently sent a Mark 4 scope to Korth because it had a fleck on the lens. It couldn't be repaired in house and the scope was replaced with a new one and the turnaround time was about a week and a half. It wasn't sent to Beaverton and none of the above mentioned paperwork was required because it stayed in Alberta. Leupold still has the best warranty and service in the business as far as I am concerned.

No I just talked to Korth possibly 6 months down the road before thay may be able to work on the MK IV scopes , As for there statement of 6 months go I heard that 2 yrs ago .All reticle changes must go thru Leupold USA till Korth Group gets the go ahead

I made a phone call to Korth Groups on my question and they told me exactly what Savage mentioned. They couldn’t help me and the scope would have to be sent to USA. I also received an e-mail from Leupold Tech Customer service located in Beaverton and was advise that the TMR reticle could be done in the states but that I would have to do the paper work ( import/export ) before shipping the scope...

EC as for the warranty yes they do direct replacements if the scope is a current model if it is not you are out of luck and YOU have to send it back to the US for warranty work

Change at Korth

I have it on some insider info that Korth will be sending staff to be trained in Oregon this spring for all work that will need to be done on MarkIV scopes as well as some new machinery for etching reticles. FS

So why wouldn't you want to do the paper work? FS

I heard that to which is great it has been a long time in coming. The thing that gets me is that NightForce takes care of the paperwork for there scopes both way [import and export] on warranty and non warranty work why couldn't Leupold.

At this time I don’t have the scope and undecided between a couple different Mark 4 models. If I did have the scope, I don’t know where to start looking for paper work. I contacted the Canadian customs and they didn’t really help. Tried the US customs and couldn’t get through. If I do get a Mark 4 , I’ll use it as is and see what happens with Korth Croup...
