changing sights on tanfoglios - help?

hey,

how do I take off the front sight on a tanfoglio L? I'm trying to put on a FO... I took out that little screw, but the front sight is refusing to move, and I'm afraid to try and force it. Is there anything there beyond taking that little screw out and just forcing the front sight forward, out of that groove, with a hammer?

the sight is still dovetailed in (but the slot goes back rather the sideways).

you need to take a piece of delron or micarta, and tap it out with a hammer.. (easy part). the hard part is installing the new one, if it's fiber. it's hard not to crack the melted end out.

it can be done, you need a large vise, and the delron/micarta, and a hammer
