i have a sxs with extractors but the barrels have seen better days.i found a fellow that has a set that i have pictures of with measurements.everything seems to measure up the same but his barrels have extractors.can it be fitted to my gun?

cynthiah: Assuming they are barrels for the same make and model of shotgun I think the answer is maybe. It will take the services of a competent gunsmith to really determine if it's feasible and also if changes are needed to the hinge, lockinging lugs etc. to have it lock up tight and be on face. The cost to accomplish this may be substantial so if you are referring to an inexpensive shot gun the idea may be carrying coal to Newcastle. Not many double guns are simply parts interchangeable with no special fitting.

Did you mean to say the other barrels have extractors or ejectors?

Alternately you might examine having your barrels sleeved if the gun is a quality piece to begin with and worth the expenditure.

What is the make of the gun, grade etc.?

You'd need to make sure the new barrels headspace the same, but even if they do, part of the mechanism that operates the extractors/ejectors is usually in the front part of the receiver anyway, so it may or may not work.
