Does anyone own one of these? I was thinking about getting a lever 22. I have narrowed it down to either a Henry or the Chaparral from Marstar. Any thoughts?

I have a Henry Golden Boy as well as a 9422. Both are really excellent guns and are quite capable of accurate shooting. Go with what fits. My fave is still the BSA Martini single shot Model 8. 75yrs old and still a tack driver.

I have a Henry lever 22, and a Chapparal 1873/357. I have not handled the chapparal 22 but if the wood is the same as on my 357 I would give my vote to the Henry. The wood on my chapapral feels like the cheap wood stock that came on my Norc M14. The Henry has a nice smooth finish, very accurate with open sights, I could live without the painted reciever on it though. Both very close in price, Henry does make some nicer fancier ones with octagon bbls which are very nice, but more $.

I already ordered the Chaparral. I was a little concerned about the wood but if the gun is a shooter I can refinish or maybe upgrade the stock. The thing that tipped me in favor was the fact that it is all metal construction, and it looks just like a Winchester.
