I had a '73 chapparal a few years ago. I didnt find the action bad, although Im not really a lever guy and only have a pre 64 94 to compare it too. I liked it, but soon lost intrest in it and sold it to pay for something else. I was disapointed with the wood, It reminded me of the soft wood stock that came on my Norc M14s I think for the price It should at least have a decent stock.
