Does anyone know the quality of this gun line?
Marstar will be soon selling this line for guns for the Cowboy crowd,
at better starting price's than Pietta.
I am contemplating buying two of thier 1873 pistols.
:confused:
Curious in Eastern Ont.

I think the revolvers are brand new onto the market (both here and in the US), so I don't think you'll get much response on them. As for the rifles, I've heard both excellent reviews, and people cursing them to no end - seems to depend on the individual rifle. Some are real lemons with off-center chambers and bores that change diameter throughout the barrel, others are top notch quality. I've heard that it's the old Armi San Marcos factory that's making them.
Once I get out from under this sh*tstorm that hit me Friday (major work to the truck needed, fridge up and died, and looks like I have to replace my tile field for my septic - great way to start a weekend) I'm going to take a hard look at their model 1876 - possibly in 50-95 if they get some in. Marstar's no BS guarantee is extra piece of mind on these firearms IMO.

WELL NOW;
Chaparral is the manufacturer, they are now making their line available to the publick through dealers, previously the were OEM ONLY.

DO NOT confuse Chaparral USA with the factory in Italy who are making them for us.

I own a Chaparral NWMP '76. I haven't put many rounds through it yet (all blackpowder). So far it has worked flawlessly and shows promise as being very accurate.

Chaparrals have been in the US for a couple of years and it seems most of the problems were with the earliest ones.

There is a forum on CAScity devoted to the '76 in both Uberti and Chaparral.

Chaparral has been putting out more choices than Uberti.

Chaparral

I recently wanted one of these and sent an order to one of the board supporting dealers, they replied that these had been nothing but problems and that they would not be handling them again.They even mentioned that the quality of the workings was worse than the worst norincos ever were.

That was enough for me to buy Pietta
