This morning I was loading up my some test loads for my 257 wby and compared my charge master to my 10-10. I frequently check the charge master against the 10-10 and they have always been exactly the same. This morning I calibrated both and the chargemaster is reading consistently .2 grains higher than the 1010. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Did you use lighter check weights to compare both units?

How long did you let the Charge Master warm up before using?

Bottom line, after getting the lighter check weight set you do not need two scales to cross check each other.

The check weights with the Chargemaster weigh 50 grams and my Lyman check weight set has weights from 100 grains to .5 grains.

So these Lyman check weights can check the accuracy of any scale and then not have to cross check comparison readings between scales.

For years I just bullets to check my beam scale and Chargemaster but once you use the lighter check weights you are checking closer to your actual powder charges used.

NOTE, 50 grams = 771.618 grains and I do not have any cartridge cases that holds 771.618 of powder. ;)
And I use my Chargemaster to throw powder charges as low as 3.0 grains.

It's and electronic scale. They are subject to all kinds of outside influences. Trust the 10-10 not the chargemaster

I turned the chargemaster on last night so I know it was warmed up. I calibrate the chargemaster with the test weights that come with it every time I use it. I don’t have check weights for the 1010 and just make sure the poise is level when zeroed the only mod I have down is I speeded up the trickle time from 1-1/2 grain to 1/2 gr but I have used it many times since I did the upgrade and it matched the 1010. Powder I was using was H1000.
