How big a job is it to change a charger bridge on a No. 1 Mk III*? I would like to remove one from an SSA sporter and put it on a Lithgow that had it's charger bridge removed. One end was cut off and the rivets removed from the other. I'm far from being a gunsmith so I want to know if someone with no gunsmithing skills could do it, or would it be advisable to approach a gunsmith instead. Would the costs be prohibitive?

Is the SSA otherwise ruined? Out of a Lithgow or SSA I'd want to fix up the SSA! Way less of them made.

Not sure if you could get the type of rivet they used to fix the charger bridge on the receiver or not. I'd think that would be the toughest part.
