Made an impulse buy yesterday, Thank you to Oley's Armory in Powassan for the great service.
Bought this little .410 for about 175 bucks, first 410 I have ever had. My one issue is the size of the stock, it seems to be sized for a small child. I would like to find an adult stock for it, as well as some inexpensive chokes (mobil).
Has anyone had experience with one of these tiny guns? Going to try it out this afternoon. (Damn, .410 shells ain't cheap!)

i can not comment on the gun but i saw 410 shells at 50 bucks a box at my last gun show, i found and bought four boxes at twenty dollars a piece and the seller even commented what others were trying to get.

Tried it out in the yard with some challenger 2.5 inch #6.
Nice pattern from about 7 to 12 yards. Probably maximum effective range with that load of about 15 yards, by 20 it is a 16 inch spread with gaps of 3 inches in places. A tighter choke on it could a bit more useful.

I could most likely bag a grouse or squirrel at 20 yards with that pattern, but murphys law tells me that the 3 inch gap in the group will be right over its head. I definitely want a full choke for it, maybe a turkey choke, though I wouldn't use it for turkeys.
I was a little surprised these tiny 410 choke tubes are as expensive as 12ga tubes.. A couple chokes would cost as much as the gun.

I once owned a Garcia-Bronco in 22 LR/410.
It's shotgun barrel I am fairly sure was true cylinder.
At twenty yards a rabbit had 50-50 chance to escape unwounded from the birdshot pattern. Didn't matter 7.5 to #4 lead in 3 inch magnum or otherwise.
Well it shot slugs pretty well at 35 yards. But who cares when there's a plethora of squirrels and tweetie birds only?

Not sure if the chokes are compatible but I have a turkey choke for my Stevens 301 turkey 410. It's a browning invector thread pattern. It works great. Patterns have been posted on here with various loads at various distances. 30 yard shots on squirrels has been 100% effective with 1/2 oz #6

Been shooting it a bit now. Have not tried other loads. The stock is a definite weakness, it is sized for a small child.
It seems other charles daly 101 410 models have a larger stock, but I cannot find a source for one. I even contacted chiappa (the manufacturer) and they told me there ard no other stocks. (Obviously false). I am playing around with the idea of cutting a deeper recess for my hand and lengthening the stock. I would much rather just buy a cheap stock for it..
If it wasn't for the fact it would take it under 26"; I would even consider making a birdshead pistol grip.
Still need to get a tighter choke.
It is a fun gun, it could just use a few improvements.

I bought one of these recently, but the full size one, barrel is probably 25 or 26 inches. It came with one removable choke, which was full. I just patterned it the other day with 7.5 3” Remington shells. The pattern at 20 yards was terrible. Definitely could not reliably kill a squirrel at that distance. Nice tight pattern at 8 yards, so would be acceptable for pest control. Grouse maybe to 15 yards. Over all pretty disappointing. Should have bought the Stevens turkey model instead.

I just finished cutting the stock to allow more room for my thumb meat. I can actually wrap my thumb around it and hold it properly now. I just filled the hole I made with some hot glue. Not elegant but it fits my hand now.

I have a youth 410 H&R. Been my grouse gun for years.
It’s a full choke.
#7.5 and smaller pattern great out to 25yrds
Rarely miss a chicken.
Lent it to a buddy he returned it with two boxes of #6.
I missed or wounded a few birds before patterning it.
Was horrible.

I got #9s now. Just worried how they will handle some foliage in early season.
