Have you had any problems with these? I'm in the market for a reliable .22lr but don't want to pay the s&w $$$. I've heard there were some issues with cylinders and misaligned barels.

I too was in your shoes not too long ago. I wrote the idea off. Actually saw them at the gun store yesterday and asked to handle one... Remembered exactly why I decided not to get wrapped up in one. Keep an eye out for a used smith model 17, they pop up on the ee from time to time and can be had for not a lot of coin. When it comes to revolvers... you get what you pay for in most cases. Plus I couldn't get over the small frame on those Charter Arms guns. I remember shortly after Kodiak closed up shop those revolvers started popping up everywhere. Now you'd be troubled to find a gun store that doesn't have 10 of them under glass in their store.

+1 for Ruger....

A Ruger SP101 in .22 was very tough to find -- just the right place/right time. Excellent craftsmanship on the revolver, good balance and a fun gun to shoot. Definitely one to get (if you can find it ;-)...

x2!

It shoots well with no failures to fire.
The only thing I did was paint the front sight orange.
The handle is a bit small but it is rubber so it won't slip.
For the price it is a great deal!
It is also an excellent gun to introduce someone to revolver shooting.
Concentrate on the basics/techniques plus cheap ammo makes it a winner.

Wife prefers revolvers. Always thought she should have a .357 but this Taurus Tracker 990 looks very interesting. Any one know some one who sells them? Thanks.

I got one, cylinder and barrel are misaligned, fails to fire most of the time and the few times it did it left quarter sized holes at 3 meters. Got it cheap, looks good in the safe but was a complete waste of money.
