CHAS 3-Gun Precision Carbine Match - Aug 23rd

yeesh..... too many unknown variables there then.... NOT COOL.

Welcome to the club. I have a hard enough time waking up in the morning during the week... weekends are meant to sleep in. :p

That's a little prejudicial and bigoted to us night owls. :p

I always seem to miss set up, but make the brief (barely) and always stay for tear down when other guys split after they shoot because "Oh, I have something else going on... blah blah blah." These days, my only lame-ass excuse is I need my beauty sleep. And I'm so damned ugly that it means I need a LOT of sleep!

You make me fricken' laugh!!

I am new to Alberta and live in Sherwood Park.

What is involved if I want to watch or help out the 3-gun match tomorrow?

Do I have to pay the $20 NFA insurance fee just to watch?

Thanks,

David Boswell

What did I learn at the August 23rd 3 gun ?? I need to practice shooting prone from a pickup truck roof rack platform out to 300 meters waaaay more ). Carry 100 rounds when you need 32 - running out with only 2 targets left suuuuucckkss. Lol. Oh yeah and I need to practice shooting from rooftops more too - my neighbourhood is about to get a bunch more interesting for sure !! Thanks to the guys for putting on a great shoot , it was my first 3 gun and I had a blast , can't wait to get out again in September

Great day of shooting with challenging courses. When do you plan to have the results posted up?

Right now!!

Thanks to everyone who was there for setup and tear down. Many hands makes for quick work. It was a fun shoot and I think EVERYONE learned we should have had a little more ammo for those longer targets!! I left 3 that I didnt even get to take a poke at. 45 rounds for 33 targets was clearly not enough. Guess I am getting a little cocky.

Big thanks to all the volunteers and RSOs for setting up the event. Had a tonne of fun and learned lots. All the hard work is very much appreciated!

Once again my norc rifle/ammo combo proved to be a great learning tool for how to clear malfunctions... f:P: ran the 300m stage with my red dot about 5 clicks to the left as the turret cover had moved the adjustment screw... On the bright side, at least i didn't shoot my toe off!

I got some photos that I can post up if everyone is OK with showing the stage setups etc as long as nobody can be easily identified? I don't want to cause any grief with the CFOs as well so let me know.

Pics are good. Nothing wrong with what happens at the events. We set up safe matches with qualified RSO to ensure everyone is safe. I don't think anyone has any concerns with photos, if they do they can pipe up.

Stage setup on the 2/300 range.
