Chassis Barricade Stops

So, I've been reviewing last years NRL and PRS matches on youtube. I see a fair bit of MPA chassis and rifles with arca rails, but almost nobody is using the barricade stops. Nearly 100% of the competitors are using pillows of some sort.

So, my question is: Are there rules against barricade stops? Or are they just not practical during a course of fire?

Being able to spot your shot with a bag is easier. And I don’t use my barricade stop on my mpa any more. I don’t find it any more stable anymore.

stops are useless when 80% of the field will free recoil stuff.

Nobody uses them cause they're kind of useless unless the barricade is set up in such a way that the target is pretty level and perpendicular to them. You can also manage recoil/spot hits or misses much better with a bag like a Gamechanger.

You need a much lower recoiling cartridge to spot hits. Think Dasher.
