As above, reloading with cast is the way to go. I noticed Federal blue box in either Wobblemart or Canada Tire the other day for $23 something plus tax. I shoot ordinary wheel weight cast bullets, mostly with gas checks, usually with 700X or Unique. I love shooting 30-30, 32 WS, and a host of other standard old calibers with cast and light loads. 10 grains of Unique or 700X is a nice load. YMMV.
I just FL resized 38 various 30-30 cases this afternoon, destined for light reloads. I just scooped a nice old 94 rifle with a peep sight, 100 years old, in .32 WS. I have lots of .32 brass and will use cast of some sort to give the old girl a workout. The rifle belonged to a good friend's old Dad, and it was the old boy's main hunting rifle way back. Makes it kind of special to own something with some personal connections. I knew the old fellow. He was a gun nut in his day. That old 22-250 that I posted about this winter belonged to him as well.
